Although the exome region is only 1% (30 Mb) of the entire genome, its biofunctions are very significant. Exome sequencing is a technology which controls the region of the exome and is very economical in comparison to the sequencing of the entire genome. It is mostly used in clinical research, as it can be widely used for cancer and chronic disease genetic recognition.
